Ruling Google for some keywords

Gone are the days when SEO meant just having 1 link to your website on the front page of google for some keyword/phrase.
For a few years now, I have been working on having maybe 3 or 4(sometimes 8 out of 10) links at least within those 1st 10 placements on the first page of google. Imagine a potential client or customers reaction when they see your businessname listed in places 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, or 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 10th on the first page of google.
Getting results like this isn't easy, but it is doable, I have done it for 4 businesses in '09 plus our own websites for various phrases. If an estimated 89% of people click on a link, and spend money, on a result in the first page of google search results, then you increase your chances of getting someone $$ dramatically.
You're investment in these sort of results isn't going to be $1000, or even $5000, but if you are serious about your business, you could spend more than that on a full page newspaper add, that only seen for one day.
I'm talking about being right there, in front of customers eyes 24/7 Worth thinking about for a serious business huh
